Comic Boook: Featuring Gary Coleman.

Comic Boook was a comic I did while working at On-Line Communications. It was meant to be an epic, like my own Cerberus the Aardvark. Instead, I finished one page and called it a day.

It may be hard to read here, so I’ve supplied to transcript below.

Panel 1 – Narration: I was enjoying the view when I got a phone call from Gary Coleman.

Panel 2 – Gary Coleman through phone: “You gotta help me!”

Panel 3- Narration: Apparently Gary Coleman was being held hostage by what he called “Evil Sock Puppets”. He had managed to escape the rubbed mask long enough to call me. I didn’t know why he chose me.

Panel 4- Narration: I wondered if I should help him…?

Panel 5- Narration: I had nothing better to do, so I flew to the rescue.

Panel 6 – Narration: Meanwhile…

Evil Sock Puppet: “You suck.”

Panel 7 – Gary Coleman: “Leave me alone!”

Panel 8 – Gary Coleman: “Oh, where’s Willis when you need him?”

Panel 9 – Narration: Meanwhile outside…

Short guy: “Cast of Willow… attack!!”

Panel 10 – Narration: Suprise! (sic)

Cast of Willow: “AHHHH”

Panel 11 – Narration: The Willow cast flees in fear!!

The Gary Coleman footage never actually appeared in the film. It had to be cut, because three seconds in, C-3PO started to hack at the R2-D2 costume with an axe.

Anthony Daniels hated Gary.

It’s Gary Coleman week at the BNA gallery.

I once had it in for Gary Coleman. He knows why. For a while, I drew plenty on plenty of napkins in his name.

Gary Coleman week begins with a little art project I once did. It’s not on a napkin, but I used a napkin to wipe my mouth when I dribbled some coffee after doing it.
